| Could you please tell me how often it's necessary to have a pin oak pruned/cut back? It's about 10 years old and we've had it trimmed once last year. It was growing a little crooked because of the large trees around it - it had to bend to catch the sun. It seemed to improve the health/shape of the tree after it was pruned. |
| If your tree is bending to reach the sun then it may simply be too crowded (or shaded) and pruning will never really correct that condition. The best advice I can give you is to consult with a professionally trained arborist about the long term health and care of your tree. |
