Will my Pennisetum setaceum survive the winter? My yard has zone 4 and 5 microclimates.

Some varieties of Pennisetum are hardy from zones 5 to 9, while others are less hardy. For instance, Oriental Fountain grass (Pennisetum orientale) is hardy only to zone 7. Unfortunately, Pennisetum setaceum, such as the variety 'Rubrum', is even less hardy than that (Zone 9A). For a truly hardy perennial grass, consider some variety of Miscanthus instead.
