| I bought a large pot of aloe in NC. In the center of the pot, was a very large aloe plant which had appeared to send up a flower stock. During the two day car trip home to MD, the flower stalk dropped the developing buds and it never flowered. What may have caused this and can I expect it to flower again, perhaps later this winter? |
| The change in environment was probably what stressed the plant enough to abandon production of flower and seeds. Aloe's do flower, and depending upon plant, can be orange, red, pink or white. Give your aloe bright light and infrequent, deep watering and it will probably bloom again. The regular bloom cycle is December - February so you may see flowers in a few months or you may have to wait a full year. |
