I am told that Wafer Ash, Ptelea trifoliata, is extremely hardy for my area (zone 4-5). What can you tell me about this tree and its hardiness?

Ptelea trifoliata, Wafer Ash or Hoptree, is hardy from zones 3-9. It's a deciduous tree or large shrub growing to a mature height of 15' with a 10' spread. The annual growth rate is 12-18 inches.

This large shrub or small tree has glossy, green
foliage that turns yellow in the fall. The tree is native
to North America and can be grown in sun or shade. The
fruits are wafer-like and are interesting but not
especially ornamental.
