Sun-loving herbs will get along just fine indoors if you provide a source of artificial light. Invest in the specially manuafactured indoor grow-lights, or use an inexpensive fluorescent shop-light. If you have a cool-white and a warm-white bulb in the shop light, the plants will be treated to the full spectrum of light waves and will grow beautifully for you. Keep the light source only a few inches above the foliage - fluorescent lights won't burn the plant tissues because they don't get as hot as incandenscent light bulbs.
