Will the new bulbs that we planted this fall (early Oct.)that have started to grow be ok? Is there any special we should do to help their chances of blooming in the spring?

Bulbs often begin to grow right after being planted, but the foliage stops growing when winter weather arrives. The leaves should be fine over the winter months without any special treatment. They'll resume growing in the very early spring. I've had bulbs with 6" of foliage survive with 12" of snow covering them. It looks peculiar, but the bulbs seem to know what they're doing!
