Blueberries can be pruned in the late winter.

Maples are best pruned in the late winter or early spring. Remove any dead, diseased, dying, crossing, rubbing or broken branches. Then prune to shape.

For a picture-filled guide to pruning most landscape plants, consult a copy of 'Pruning', by Christopher Brickell (ISBN# 0-671-65841-7). This helpful guide will walk you through the steps of pruning.
