Due to warm weather in the north west when is the best time to prune your perennials even though they are keeping ther flowering patterns? For example, the agapanthis is still blooming in December in Seattle. When should I cut back?

The weather in the Pacific Northwest has been unusually mild, beginning with a summer that extended into September, and an autumn that persists even now, in late December. Your perennials can be allowed to grow and flower at will. When frost nips the foliage, cut them back. The extended season won't hurt your plants, and you get the added bonus of summer blooms in the middle of winter!
