I have an aloe plant that has become too tall. It has 18' of brown stem and 8' of green on top. Is it possible to cut off the green part and reroot it? |
Aloe is usually propagated by offsets that form at the base. You can also try cuttings but they are not as successful. Take fresh leaf cuttings and put them in extremely well-draining soil mix, or if possible cactus mix. Don't let them dry out. It can take several months for new plantlets to appear at the base. |
