The Q&A Archives: Grapes

Question: When should I order grapes and plant them?

Answer: It's usually a good idea to order grapes as soon as you decide what kind you want. Most suppliers ship the dormant bare root plants at the right time for planting in your area, usually in very early spring. For best results, plant them immediately upon receipt following the supplier's instructions. This allows them to come out of dormancy naturally with the season.
