Although watering stopped in October, leaves remain green as of January 01,2000. Pots are on sides in greenhouse. Can I remove, cut off, green leaves? Or, should I wait until they have finally wilted? Thanks for advice. VMG

Is it at all possible that your greenhouse is warm and very humid -- enough to keep them from going dormant? They usually wither if kept both dry and cool, say about 50 degrees. However, there are a few varieties of amaryllis which seem to be evergreen. As long as they have rested, I would try putting them back into active growth and see if they will bloom. If the leaves are healthy I wouldn't remove them. Good luck with them!
