Answer: I assume you are asking about a staghorn fern (Platyserium bifurcatum). These plants require a high humidity level and should either be misted often or, if tied to a board or similar mount, the entire thing can be dunked in a bucket of tepid water and allowed to drain. In my experience they tend to do better in the house if surounded by other plants or set above a pebble tray filled with water to try to humidy the immediate area better. The normal coloring includes some brown and some white depending on the fronds so don't worry if it isn't green all over.
