The Q&A Archives: Deciduous Azaleas

Question: Do deciduous azaleas thrive in deep shade?

Answer: Azaleas are often suggested for shady locations, but like all plants they do require some sunlight to grow. Morning sun or dappled light all day would do well for them. You might try one or two and see how they do in that location before investing in a large number of them.
