I live in southern Ohio, andI recently aquired a three inch barrel cactus from Arizona. When the summer comes, would it harm the plant if I took it outside and then brought it back indoors, or should I just leave it indoors all the time?

If you can provide a sunny spot, your cactus will be happy to be outdoors when the weather warms in the spring. Be sure to take it back indoors in late summer, before the nighttime temperatures fall too much below 50 degrees.
