My Holly leaves are turning black, and the plant is dying. I've look at the leaves and don't see any bugs or fungus. Any suggestions?

Based on your description I am not certain what the problem is, although it is possible you are seeing the late season effects of tar spot (Phacidium curtisii) which begins in spring as yellow spots and progresses through reddish-brown and finally black in the fall. You might contact the UMASS Extension office for help with the diagnosis and any suggested controls.
