How do you cut foxglove after it has bloomed, to prepare it for the next blooming season?

Cut the flowering stalk down to the level of the foliage. Frost will nip the leaves down this winter, but new foliage will appear in the spring. It's important to leave the leaves on the plant for as long as possible so they can convert sunlight into energy for the roots of the plant.
