| I suppose the answer to your question depends on how much patience you have. Most hollyhocks take two years to bloom from seed, so if you plant seed or smaller seedlings this year you should expect blooms next summer. If you set out good sized plants this spring, they may bloom for you this year if they are mature enough. Hollyhocks are fairly easy to start from seed and seedlings transplant well. The plants can be set out in spring or fall. Seed can be started in spring or midsummer as you prefer. |
