| Unfortunately there is no predetermined answer to your question. Since these beans are normally planted outdoors where the plants are to grow, the answer depends on the type of soil you have, the type of heat experienced during the summer, and the amount of rain your garden receives as well as its exposure to wind and so on. Plants grown in a fast draining soil in a hot and windy location will need more water than plants grown on a water retentive soil in a sheltered spot. The best thing to do is to check the soil with your finger and see if the plants need to be watered. You can also tell to some extent by looking at the plants -- if they are wilted you should have watered. Over time you will learn to see when they need water. A deep occasional soaking (usually about every five days unless it rains as a rule of thumb) is better than a daily light sprinkling and a layer of mulch will help reduce watering as well as keep down weeds.
