The Q&A Archives: Sources for Leatherleaf Mahonia

Question: I am a gardener who is in search of a Leatherleaf Mahonia. We have some growing down here in the shade and they are magnificent! Do you have a source where I can order one of these plants? Also I have seen on HGTV a man planting what he called Aztec Grass. What is it and where can I get it? Thanks. Ben Thompson Beaumont, TX

Answer: Leatherleaf Mahonia (Mahinia bealei) is available through, Forest Farm Ray and Peg Prag 990 Tetherow Rd. Williams, OR 97544-9599 541-846-7269 I'm not familiar with 'Aztec' grass, perhaps the following company specializing in ornamental grasses would know more about it. Kurt Bluemel 2740 Greene Ln.
