Could you please recommend a few varieties of nectarine which have a very low chill requirement. A semi-dwarf would be preferred, but a standard would be acceptable. The tree will be located near patios (but not where fruit drop would be a problem) and large, block wall fence. Both the conrete patio and block wall help hold heat in the area at night. Citrus is very sucessful on our lot, even grapefruit. We do get frosts, but they are light.

'Sunbonnet' has the lowest chill requirement and is a dwarf variety, growing to about 5'. The fruit has red skin, yellow flesh and ripens early to mid-season. 'Gold Mine' is a standard tree, has low winter chill requirement, produces red-blushed, white fleshed fruit and ripens late. Either of these should produce fruit in the situation you describe.
