I was going through some notes my Grandmother wrote concerning the early part of the century (the '20's) and she refered to what she called schnitlock, stating it was a vegetable, or herb like chives. I am curious if anyone knows what this is in particular. I searched several encyclopedias with no luck. Thanks in advance for any help provided. |
Schnittlauch is in fact the German word for chives. It would be phonetically similar to the spelling you used. |
