Commonly called willow acacia, this tree is listed in the Plants for the Desert Southwest brochure put out by the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association. You can get a free copy from Chandler's Water Conservation Office. There is a photo, but it's not extremely sharp. Although the brochure says it has minimal litter, I find that the ones in my neighborhood seem to drop alot of leaves, flowers, seed pods, etc. Otherwise it's a fast growing evergreen tree that will do fairly well here.
