Which variety of green bean comes closest to having all the best quilities? I'm looking for flavor, crispness, disease resistance, productivity, quantity of beans ready to pick at one time,ease of picking, and length of production. |
As with anything, there are always trade-offs! For instance, if the beans are all ready to pick at one time (great for canning) the plants can't produce over a long period (better for fresh eating). You might try several varieties in a comparison test and see which one suits you best. In my experience, they all taste good! |
