Bugs On My Pansies - Knowledgebase Question

I discovered small bugs infesting my pansies this morning...they look like aphids but aren't green like them..sort of dark colored. Please suggest a safe way of controling theses creatures...my plants are getting droopy!!

If they look like aphids, they probably are. Aphids come in several colors, not just the pale green we're used to seeing. In fact, bean aphids are black. Treat these pests as you would any aphid - hose them off with water, or squish them with your fingers. If you can't keep the population under control with the above techniques, you can use an insecticidal soap. Read and apply according to label directions.

Once you get the pests off your pansies, they should perk right up!
