The Q&A Archives: Zone 1 Wildflowers

Question: Is there a mixture of perennial wildflower seeds that would do well in Zone 1?

Answer: There's a wildflower mixture available through Shepherd's that contains yarrow, prairie aster, painted daisy, coreopsis, California poppy, lupine, and Mexican hat. These are all drought tolerant, tough plants which should grow well in your zone 1 garden. Contact Shepherd's Garden Seeds, 30 Irene St., Torrington, CT 06790-6658. (phone 860/482-3638)
