Can you cut back a Hibuscus that is grown inside like you do if you have grown it outdoors? I am growing some in the indoors and don't want to lose them.

I am assuming you are talking about the tropical hibiscus. Most gardeners do prune these plants because their natural shape is so gangly. You can prune it little by little by removing a wayward branch here and there throughout the year or give it a more severe cutting back in late winter/early spring before the spring growth flush. Doing it all at once helps control the size while they are indoors, but it also stops all flowering while the shrub recovers from it.
