Tomato cages can be quickly made using a roll of heavy duty, large meshed, "barnyard fencing" sold at lumberyards and home centers. The fencing is about four feet tall. Cut a long section of mesh, roll it into a wide cylinder, and lash the ends together. Next, attach it securely between two metal T-stake fence posts, also sold at the above. Your cages should be about three feet in diameter. They can be rolled together or flattened for storage and should last for years.
