I've tried freezing quite a few types of corn, but none were succesful. It would be mushy when we wanted to eat it. I've tried blanching it and everything else, but nothing works. Could you give me a suggestion on a type of corn that would work?

Since you've given several types of corn a try with poor results, I wonder if it's the freezing technique rather than the corn variety that's responsible for the problem. Here's a website with detailed information on freezing corn:

Grow your favorite variety of corn and follow the directions from the website. I'll bet you'll be pleasantly surprised.
