Last fall I collected seeds from pods on my hybrid daylilies. Will these seeds sprout and produce flowers, and if so, will the flowers remain true to the parent?

If you plant the seeds you will indeed have daylily blooms in a few years, however daylilies will cross pollinate and not be true. In fact, hybridizing daylilies is an exciting, interesting and challenging hobby for many serious gardeners. Because it is such a popular process, much information is available on this fascinating subject.

I suggest you go ahead and plant the seeds and see what you get. It will take a few years to get a bloom, but it will be fun to see what kind of bloom you get!
