I live in Zone 4, and would like the name of a good, flowering vine than will do well in the shade. I prefer it to be a perennial. Do you have any suggestions?

Three great flowering woody vines that survive in zone 4 are
Hydrangea anomala subsp. petiolaris - hydrangea vine
Akebia quinata - five leaf akebia
Actinidia arguta - hardy kiwi

You might also try Aristolochia durior (also sold as A. macrophylla) - Dutchman's pipe
Lonicera brownii - Brown's honeysuckle

Good luck!
