I have houseplants, rosemary, bay, lavender, chives, and, in the winter, salad greens growing on a plant stand. How often should I replace the fluorescent tubes?

Most gardeners replace them every year or two, or when the ends start to turn black. You will also notice your plants showing a need for more light when it is time to replace them.
