Cuttings will grow best in a light, moisture retentive soil. You can prepare your own growing medium by mixing 1/2 cubic yard of sphagnum peat moss, 1/2 cubic yard of vermiculite, 5 pounds dolomitic limestone, 1 pound of superphosphate and 2 pounds of 5-10-5 fertilizer. Mix all ingredients well and store in plastic bag. Moisten before use.
