Question: My Glads grow quite lengthy, and when in bloom they fall over. Planting the bulbs deeper usually causes them to rot or bloom much later.

Answer: Unfortunately, the taller and larger flowered gladiolas often require individual staking to keep them upright. It's a bit of a job, but many gardeners find it worth the effort.
