| How easily are some of the ornamental willows propagate? Can they be done successfully with cuttings? And should they be soft or hard wood cuttings? I've ordered a pinkn ornamental willow from J&P catalog and as it was expensive I'd like to know more about it. I've not seen the species before. |
| In my experience, all salix are very easily propagated from cuttings taken at any time of year. Unfortunately, based on your description I am not certain which willow you have ordered but I can say it seems that the various ornamental willows have become more popular each year and that a limited supply may be reflected in the pricing for them. |
