Can I grow garlic with that Miracle Mulch over it? If so, how do I water and let the stem grow through it? |
According to the catalog, Miracle Mulch has millions of microscopic holes that let air and water penetrate into the soil. It smothers weeds and maintains a warm, moist growing environment for plants and can be used to cover entire garden beds, or cut to fit around individual plants. The tiny holes will allow moisture to get through, so water as usual. I'd lay the mulch down on the bed, then cut holes to plant your garlic cloves. When foliage sprouts it will come straight up through the hole. |
