I heave a miniture lime tree that has done very well over the last 5 years. This winter when we brought it inside it is losing all it's leaves and the tips of the branches are dying. It always did well during the winter and had new growth. Please advise us as to what the problem might be and how to help the tree.

Since you have had the tree for such a long time I'll rule out environmental problems. That leaves the possibility of a pest problem, or possibly a need for repotting which in turn is causing the tree to suffer moisture stress. Examine the plant for insects (look especially carefully for mites or fine webbing), and check the rootball to see if repotting is in order.
