I saw a vining plant that had little heart shaped flowers and a small red dot at the end of the white heart shaped flower I took a cutting and the plant took root, but I don't know the name of this plant and where it should be planted in full sun or in partial shade. I don't believe this is the same plant as the bleeding heart plant that is small and I have heard that should be planted along with hostas in the shade garden. Help. |
It could be Dicentra eximia, which is a vining groundcover, with white flowers similar in shape to regular Bleeding Heart. This plant dislikes hot, dry sites, but thrives in moist, rich soil with some afternoon shade. Hope this helps solve the mystery for you! |
