I live in southeastern MA . When should I Sow tomatoe and pepper seeds with regards to frost free date.

Once you have determined your average frost free date (your local UMASS extension can tell you if you don't know it) count back about eight weeks. Then start your peppers and tomatoes indoors. If you have a top notch cold frame you might start them a week or two earlier than that. If you are planting the seeds outdoors, wait until the soil has warmed, usually about ten days after the average frost date.
