When should I plant pumpkin seeds? I took the seeds from a pumpkin last year and dried them out and now I want to know when to start them. |
If you start your pumpkin seeds indoors, wait until just a week or two before your last frost date. The plants grow very fast so you will have nice sized transplants to set out in about two or three weeks which will be about when the soil has warmed. You can also plant them directly in the ground after the last frost and when the soil has warmed. You should be aware though that your saved seed may or may not produce pumpkins like the one you took them from. |
