Aged-manure is a good organic fertilizer. Be sure to allow the manure to weather a bit before applying or it may be too full of urea and may burn the roots of your plant.

Citrus appreciates being fed just as new leaves emerge. A slow-release commercial fertilizer with a ratio of 5-10-10 will supply all the nutrients your citrus needs for an entire year. So, whether you use aged-manure or a commercial blend, be sure to feed as new growth appears in the spring.
