It is very hard to find Homestead tomatoe plants in the State of North Carolina, but we love them because of their high acid content and are great for canning. My question is, where can I find the plants when in season to plant for my family?

When it is difficult to find a particular selection locally, many gardeners will raise a few from seed to ensure having some for their garden. If you don't raise plants from seed you might ask a gardening friend to do it for you in exchange for a few plants -- and you provide the seed. I hope this helps.
