I have two White Pines that have been planted about 18 months ago that are about 6 feet tall. They both have lost about 80% of their needles. Does this mean they are dying or is there something I could do to same them.

Unfortunately, based on your description I would suspect they are dying; the dry weather last summer was very hard on newly planted trees. However, in order to get a more specific diagnosis and suggested remedies, if any are possible, you might want to consult with your local county extension.
