I have planted marigolds and zinnas in my vegetable garden to help control aphids. Last year the aphids took over my tomatoe plants.I sprayed with Malathion, but even that didn't help. What other flowers can I plant?

Nasturtiums are said to act as a trap crop for aphids, and garlic and chives are said to repel them. You can also control them by knocking them off with a strong spray of water from the garden hose or with insecticidal soap applied according to the label instructions. You will also find that ladybugs will help control aphids.
