How often should I water three small cactus -- they
are in a large pot. Also, they do get direct sun light. Should I move the plants to a spot where
they would get more sun?

Cactus and succulents as a rule do best with as much sunlight as they can get, meaning bright direct sun. Watering is a matter of drenching it thoroughly, then letting the soil dry thoroughly to the touch before you water it again. The watering frequency will depend on the potting mix used, the size of pot, whether the pot is porous or not, along with the amount of air circulation, ambient temperature, and so on. If in doubt, wait a bit and check the soil again because if you overwater them they will rot. Also fertilize them very lightly and only in spring and summer when they are growing actively.
