This is the second season for my new garden. I plan to expand the size quite a bit, and want to fill the picket fence line bed with large, bushy, flowery perennials. I was thinking of black-eyed Susans, but what others can you suggest?

I am assuming this is a sunny location since you are considering black-eyed Susans. Some others to consider would be purple coneflowers, perovskia, large daylilies, ornamental grasses, large sedums, phlox and monarda. You might also consider butterfly bushes if you truly have plenty of room.
