| A friend has seeds for a tree which she says is fast growing and great in Texas. I can find no information on this tree and need to know if it a wise selection. She says the name is Vitex. |
| Itasca, Vitex (technically known as Vitex agnus-castus) will do great in your area. It is tolerant of high pH soils and hot, dry conditions. Its blue bloom spikes appear in summer.
