What is lycopodium? Where does it grow? What are some general care requirements? How is it propagated? |
Lycopodium is club moss. There are about 450 subspecies; all primitive, spore-bearing, evergreen perennial herbs. Some grow upright and some are creeping, but all thrive in boggy to moist areas, in full shade to part sun. The plants spread by underground roots and are easily propagated by division or by germinating the ripe spores. Care is simple; provide water during the growing season. |
