I want to cover an eyesore (side of neighbors garage wall) need something that grows fast and tall. What about planting sunflowers against the wall, wildflowers in front and some Shasta daisies? Any other suggestions? The garage wall is on the north side but will get sun. I'm renting and don't want to invest a lot.

You plan sounds like a good one. Since it's a sunny site you might also consider growing scarlet runner beans (these will provide a dense screen of green leaves with attractive reddish-orange flowers), hyacinth bean, Ipomoea (morning glory vine) or Cobaea scandens (Cup and Saucer Vine). If there's a fence or you can provide a string trellis, each of these plants will provide the coverage you're looking for.

Good luck with your project!
