Potato Vine or Air Potato - Knowledgebase Question

We have a vine that is called a "potato vine" here in southwest Florida. It is a brown seed that can be left in the ground or dug up and replanted. No flowers, but big leaves that resemble a morning glory. It grows very fast and produces good shade on a trellis. Any more information on this one?

Air potato, Discorea batata, is a popular vine for ornamental uses throughout the south. However in the tropical environment of some parts of Florida it has become a detested, invasive weed. Check out the following web site for more information:
