I have 4 Rockin Robin shrub rose plants and I'm unsure when and how much to prune them. They are two years old.

Although I am not familiar with "Rockin Robin" in particular, shrub roses in general are pruned in very early spring. You may prune lightly for shaping. You should prune primarily to remove dead or diseased wood and to thin the shrub for enhanced air circulation. To do this simply remove some of the oldest wood by cutting it at the base of the shrub. It will probably be another year or two before you need to worry about thinning them.
